Perhaps an over-sampling of holiday spirits will inspire creativity in someone else? It certainly doesn't in me. I find myself at something of a loss when it comes to crafting the perfect theme for the Society for Distressed Witches fundraising gala this year. According to my very cursory research, past themes have included famous witches and wizards of the 19th century and some others of questionable taste. How one could imagine an aquatic theme befitting the dignity of anyone I cannot imagine.

The winning idea will be recognized somehow, of course, so please let me know if you do feel inspired. The event has always been a favorite-- how rarely one gets to be both frivolous and philanthropic in the course of one evening!
